Air Greenland Dash 8: Aasiaat et Ilulissat

In this video we fly from Kangerlussuaq to Aasiaat and Ilulissat in the flight deck of the trusty Dash 8-200. See what it’s like from the pilot’s perspective flying a steep approach (6 degree glideslope) into the very short runway (799 meters) at Aasiaat. The pilots tell us all about what flying in Greenland is like and in the end the scheduled service turns into a sightseeing flight, coming in over Disko Bay and seeing the thousands of enormous icebergs that surround Ilulissat. Then another beautiful steep approach into Ilulissat. An incredible day for flying and an incredible crew to do it with.
