Pipistrel selects Dynon Avionics as standard equipment for 2013 lineup

Pipistrel and Dynon have stepped together to provide pilots with easy-to-fly, fuel-efficient and high-performing aircraft that have advanced pilot-friendly avionics. For the 2013 season, the Sinus, Virus and Virus SW lineup now feature Dynon Avionics D-180 instruments as standard equipment. To complement the pilot experience, Pipistrel is offering the newly designed extra-large instrument panel on these aeroplanes as an option. For the flagship Virus SW 100 equipped with the Rotax 912 iS engine, Pipistrel selected the class leading SkyView system as standard. All Sinus, Virus and Virus SW aircraft, including LSA and kitbuilds, can be further upgraded to top-of-the-line dual redundant 7 » or 10 » SkyView Displays, with autopilot, transponder and ADS-B options.

Ivo Boscarol, Pipistrel CEO, says: « We have had a firm and successful relationship with Dynon which dates back to year 2002 and have always been impressed with their products. As customers are becoming more and more demanding, we decided to include these most advanced avionics already in the basic price of our aeroplanes. This not only gives our customers a better, safer and enjoyable flight experience, but is the best promise for future flexibility and choice of upgrades even years down the road. »

Robert Hamilton, President of Dynon Avionics, agrees: « Dynon is proud to be associated with such an innovative company. I have visited the impressive Pipistrel factory, and have seen first-hand how Pipistrel and Dynon are both committed to providing the best-designed and highest-quality products. »
