The CT is one of Flight Design’s most popular aircraft

The Flight Design CT range of microlights is going back into production with ten aircraft scheduled this year and six per month from 2025.

Just one CT model was announced at AERO last week, the CTLSi GT (Grand Touring) which will have a dry weight of 329kg, be powered by a Rotax 912iS engine, and have the new 12in Dynon display screens for avionics. The price starts at 143,900 euro.

The announcement comes after two years of reorganisation for the German manufacturer after it had to vacate its production premises in Kherson, Ukraine after the Russian invasion. Flight Design has a new factory for its new F2/F4 aircraft in Sumperk, Czech Republic and has contracted with Kazakhstan manufacturer Virazh Group to make the CT aircraft in a 50:50 venture. Some staff from Ukraine have already moved to Almaty, Kazakhstan to assist with production.
